Time-Mutilation Station... . . . . . .

So, sitting here in Leith 2 building, where I'm supposed to be running wee-little first year psyc peoples through my experiment, but they don't show up. STarted the day with 5 slots filled, then one person cancels this morning, while another one signs up for the 9.30 timeslot at 9.36, consequently I am not there to run him through. Then someone else cancels and another person just decides not to show. Anywho my point is that I'm trying to put off doing an assignment so here goes.

Nope, not unless you mean my last name then, yes, two people!

Probably the last time i stubbed my toe, that always hurts more than you expect it to.

Hard to say, it's handy in the sense that I don't have to make up secret codes...

I would say salami. You know for sure when someone is talking about salami and peanut butter sandwiches and it gives you a craving.

Probably on facebook, everybody's your friend on facebook (not that I have one)

Only when necessary.

As far as I know yes.

Given that I am avoiding writing my sociology essay on the role physical appearance plays in gender socialisation I am going to say their gender.

Well I haven't seen my family in about 3 months.

In my family we have a weird eye and hair colour changing thing so at the moment brown with a slight bit of green...I think...

Yes, if I weren't wearing them now I would NOT be able to fill this out. Probably wouldn't even be able to tell there was anything on the screen.

Salt, anything with salt usually, although I do like my cheesecake...

So. Very. Tired. Up till 3 last night (or this morning?...whatever)trying to finish psychology research proposar for research we aren't even going to get to do. Psychology dept word limit: 2000 words. Gina's word count: 2,978. So before 2pm I have to cut out about a third of what I have said. Fuck. So skipping classes today. Then get to go meet with my group for this stupid group assignment thing at 4. Then I get to do some of my other assignment for Psyc 324. I LOVE honours.

Nearly fell asleep in my 2 hour lecture this morning, but the man in a gorilla suit screaming and throwing chocolate coins into the audience to advetise something I don't think even applies to most (if not all) 300-level students. But anyway it was only that and the girl 2 seats down form me who was breathing REALLY loud that kept me from passing out so that's nice.

Also noticed on the way home that they have annihilated all of the plants outside of the botany dept. Hehe, the irony.

Also, on a recent trip to the supermarket I actually saw chicken...in a can!!!!! For me this brought up a host of interesting questions: What does it look like? Is it cooked or raw in there? is it packed in brine like fish? What sound does it make when you take it out of the can? And various others which my flatmates are bored of. Can you help with answers to any of these questions? Have you previously purchased said miracle of science and food technology that is Chicken In A Can?

During the past few days I have repeatedly said to myself, "today I'm going to the library and I'm going to sit there until I have read the 12 odd psychology papers I need to read for my 202 assignment and found the information I need for my 324 assignment (worth 25% and due in 2 weeks)" then, repeatedly, I can't be buggered and I say "I'll just do it tomorrow" If I don't do it tomorrow, the next time you see me, punch me.

On the plus side, we now have internet in the flat woohoo!!! which means I may not have to spend as much time in the library :D It is wireless broadband. Yay.

Also, the other day I saw a kitten. It had a bell on it.

So, haven't posted in a while cos, to be honest, not a lot too interesting going on really. Psyc 202 is boring as all hell right now because we're doing research methods. This appears to entail all the things I have already learnt (twice!) in 2 years of doing stats. However at least we get these trivia breaks. Did you know that in Ohio it is illegal to get a fish drunk?

Psyc 324 is confusing, on Mondays we get to watch videos where I think hey, thins is pretty interesting, then on Tuesday we manage to spend 2hours discussing why this altimeter is better than that one. It's not too bad though.

Ling111 is pretty interesting despite the fact that I spend my tuts repeating the same sounds over and over again.

And as a flat we have finally started to sort out getting a landline and, wait for it... Internet!!! Given that there's 7 of us we are probably going to get wireless broadband so that'll be pretty cool, and one of my flatmate's has a dad who deals with computers and stuff so he's giving us advice too. Man I love it when other people do things for you. Now I just have to figure out who I can pay off to do my psychology research proposal and attend my boring classes and labs...

...wait....now....damn it! deep cleansing breaths....

So, back into things now... Just finished a 2 hour forensic psychology class, now killing time on the computers before I have to go to my next class in an hour. Apparently not the best way to just hang out and kill time, now freaking out slightly. Have realised that in 2nd year we have to do some kind of research proposal, due on 8th April. Suddenly having trouble breathing.

On the plus side...in a sort of twisted way... I have been informed that the psyc department urgently needs people to switch to the lab stream at night on thursday. Ok, so I would finish at 9 pm but then my Wednesday would be pretty much free. Just one class at 3pm, sounds pretty sweet. Hmm...so much to consider...

Today my goal is not to hyperventilate and pass out, turning off brain...now.

So, today is the day... At 8.30pm I leave Wgtn, then I leave NZ from Auckland at 1am, then I hang out in Singapore airport for 7 hours once I arrive there...and I don't get to gay Paris till night time there, morning here...So by my calculations I will not be sleeping for, like, 2 days, considering my inability to sleep on aeroplanes...I'll be one happy camper by the time I get there, dirty, tired, cranky...woohoo it's a holiday now!! :)

Ok, so I realise it has been awhile since I have posted things here so here's an update for you all...

One exam left to go, classics, on monday then driving back up...

then I will be in wellington for a couple of weeks, on the 27th I am going overseas for my holiday yaay, France and England :)

Will return on the 3rd of January

Then, possibly a couple of weeks later, not sure of the date... going to the Australian Open :)

...in summary, I will eventually be on holiday...in several different places...eventually...
